Is Summer over?
Well, it looks like the hottest days of summer are over for the Denver area. The 10-day forecast is calling for mostly high 70s in the daytime and 50s at night, and since I saw some Aspen trees with a few yellow leaves at Pete's, Fall can't be too far behind. Fall is usually my favorite time of year, but with various VA appointments I have going on in September and October, I may have to change that sentiment to Fall is my favorite weather of the year.
I think the weirdest thing to me is having phone and Internet service at Pete's. Many years ago, I used to enjoy going out to Pete's because there was no phone or Internet, so I didn't have to worry about a telephone disturbing my peaceful concentration on whatever hobby I was doing, and that was a time when I needed some hobby time to forget about whatever stress was going on in my life.
But now, just in time, I need that phone and Internet service to make Pete's a better, safer part of my Summer boondocking lifestyle. Spending time at Pete's would not be nearly as useful if I didn't have a phone in case of emergencies, or Wi-Fi to work on my blog. The phone service arrived just in time.
