Valley of Fires

Due to my weak Internet signal here at Santa Rosa Lake State Park, I had planned on packing up and leaving today. But when I woke up a little before the sun came up this morning, I tried putting a picture on my blog, and the Internet actually uploaded it.... Now, it took about 15 minutes per picture to upload, but that was better than not working at all, so I decided to hang around for another day or two, as it's such a nice place to be.

I think I will go to the "Valley of Fires" Park, which is about a 2 Hour drive from where I am now, and spend a night or two there before I mosey on over to the Bosque Del Apache. The Valley of Fires is a federal Park and costs me about eight dollars a night to boondock, which I feel is very reasonable. I don't mind paying for boondocking if the price is not embarrassingly large such as at the Pima County Fairgrounds near Tucson, Arizona,, which is $30 a night to sit in a dirt parking lot. It used to be my favorite place to spend time, but it’s no longer so.
