Getting it ready

My wife and I worked on the sofa in the Arctic Fox living room; it was starting to sag in places, much like me, so we reinforced it a little bit with webbing to prevent it from sagging. I wish it were that simple for my sagging problems. I also plugged the Arctic Fox into a plug in the garage, it takes both of my 25 foot shore power cables to reach that far, to see if shore power was working in the camper, and everything like the refrigerator, air conditioner, microwave, and all of the 120 volt plug-ins came on, that made me feel better, because it's been a while since It was plugged in. Inactivity is not good for anything…...except me, and inactivity is my middle name.

Another thing I need to do, which I'm putting off, is to add water to the holding tank and pressurize the system to check for leaks. I, of course, winterized it before I put the Arctic Fox away; in fact, I winterized it two different ways. I opened up all the water valves in the camper and blew the water out of the lines with low-pressure compressed air. And then pumped antifreeze into the water lines until it was coming out of all the faucets, and then closed all the faucets, leaving the 50-degree below zero antifreeze in the campers' water lines. That should've gotten all the water out of the system, but one never knows, and if it didn't, there are few things worse than lying under the trailer trying to repair multiple water leaks.

It's coming along, slowly to be sure. But it does seem like everything I do now is slow…. except, of course, reaching my expiration date.
