Memorial day
Well, here it is—the heart of the holiday. It is rather odd that the heart and true meaning of the holiday will have most RVers breaking camp in state parks and RV parks heading home by lunchtime, when this is a day of memorials, but like most holidays, it's become just another three-day weekend.
I've successfully hunkered down for the holidays and avoided doing anything that didn't have to be done. The kids are out of school now, so there was a lot of activity with the grandkids and their friends playing around the house and in the yard. Fortunately, I no longer have a yard, so I can't stick my head out the camper's door and yell, "GET OFF MY LAWN, YOU WHIPPERSNAPPERS!!! "I don’t miss the lawn, but I miss being able to do that.
I'm glad the missing Barney uncertainty has been cleared up. I had lost hope that a computer problem would explain Barney's disappearance because it seemed like two weeks was more than enough time to solve any computer problem. But I guess it shows that we blog readers have a special connection with the blog writers we follow. When the blog writers suddenly disappear from the Internet, we are left with a feeling of loss, and with no conclusion blog post to soften the blow, there may never be closure.
The same thing happens to those of us who write blogs. When someone comments occasionally, we get to know those readers and wonder what happened to them when they stop commenting, and we wonder, did we say the wrong thing? Did they lose interest? Did the blog writer start writing about something no one was interested in? There could be a lot of reasons why commenters stop reading or commenting on someone's blog, but whatever it is, we writers tend to think it's our fault.
Anyway, I'm glad Barney is safe and will be back shortly, but I do think the Old Fat Man, to quote Ricky Ricardo from "I Love Lucy," ..… has some splaining to do!!
Theboondork……happy to hear Barney didn’t croak

The lonely fisherman.
In the background, they’re breaking ground for even more apartments. Many folks are moving to Colorado.
