I’ve been thinking of Denver
The Elephant has gotten very busy since yesterday afternoon. RVs and boats have been pouring into the State Park for the weekend. Not as much as a holiday, of course, but there are definitely a lot of people here, and the water's edge is pretty much full of campers and boat trailers.
It looks like next week will be mostly cloudy with a small chance of rain almost every day. I'm actually liking that; it will be a nice break from the mostly cloudless skies I've been dealing with lately.
I'm thinking about when I want to return to Denver, and where I’ll go to get there. My oldest son is supposed to come to Denver sometime around the middle of May for a brief visit, and I would like to be back in Denver before he gets there. So I'm thinking in another week or so I would like to be at Storrie Lake State Park in Las Vegas New Mexico where I can boondock for free until my son tells me what day he's going to be in Denver, and from Storie Lake I can be in Denver in a day or so.

I get up pretty early in the morning, usually before the Marina gets active.
But pretty soon, I here the raucous sound of outboard motors cranking even before the sun got up because apparently, breakfast is the most important meal, even to a fish.
The fishermen and campers are respectfully and properly distanced from each other. This is to be expected because, first and foremost, these folks are boondockers, and boondockers by their very nature tend to be respectful of one another.
