Got that done.

I had my truck emissions tested today, and it actually passed. I'm always amazed when that happens since in truck years it’s as old as I am, and I doubt if I could pass a single emissions test. As part of the test, they run the truck at full speed for about 15 seconds and test for emissions at that speed. And I seriously doubt if I could run at full speed without producing any noxious emissions whatsoever. Now I have to wait a couple of days for the truck testing results to reach the relevant paper-shuffling bureaucrat, then I can go online, pay for my new sticker, and I'll be good for another year.

Now that that's over, the biggest thing I'm waiting on is to complete the Arctic Fox deal, and hopefully that will be finished later this week.

After that's done, I'll be able to head up to the high country whenever I feel like it and won't have to return to Denver until the first week of August for my eye doctor appointments with the VA. This will work out pretty well for me, since the middle of July to the middle of August is usually the hottest time of the year in Denver, and therefore the very best time to spend some quality time in the mountains, which I fully intend to do.

theboondork….. Spending the entire summer doing a lot of things I don’t enjoy so that I don’t have to do those things in the winter.

These look like Harleys, but I don’t think they are. There are several manufacturers now making V-twin engines.

As I mentioned earlier, I have a fondness for old Victorian houses.

I walked up this hill just to show you I wasn’t lying. Cripple Creek is built on some steep hills.

My property is located at the bottom of this hill, approximately in the middle of the picture.
